We live for those moments when clients have complete trust in our creativity provide an opportunity to let our imagination run wild. This project for international educators SAE was an open brief to create visuals that will cut through and reach a marketing-wary generation that has grown up with the internet. The fruits of this collaboration with Motionlab were a stunning series of abstract idents for SAE's relaunched website that represent all the creative disciplines on offer.

In Aotearoa we truly understand the importance of ocean in our lives and consequences of human impact that has to be changed. This passion project of our talented designer intends to support marine conservation exploring dystopian ideas of fish evolution

Every summer and winter season Mystic Boarding launches a new collection of wetsuits. For the seasons of 2020 they asked us to help create 3D visualizations of their wetsuits.

Working with Colenso BBDO, we helped launch new alcoholic drinks brand Odd Company with some 3D work: static pack shots, fully CGI turntable animations and some trippy little social clips.

A collection inspired by the Christmas festivities celebrated across Australasia. From New Caledonia to Niue, Sydney to the Solomon Islands, the traditions of flora and fauna, the coming together of families, the sharing of food and drink, the dance, the music, the colour and the fragrance.

It is these traditions that led us to our three festive fragrances; Lagoon, inspired by the Pacific Islands, Sakura inspired by Indonesia and the iconic, FreshPine, inspired by the festive season in Australia and New Zealand.

We have been engaged in various visualisation projects for one of the most innovative aerospace companies around: Rocketlab. These videos really get to scratch our sci-fi itch and the engineering accomplishments out of this NZ originated company are nothing short of inspirational.

Who needs a food shoot? We undertook some delicious modelling and texturing to help launch Tropeaka’s new protein supplement range.

Working with our friends at Big we created this 3D illustration of Auckland’s iconic Skytower with a mid-winter dusting of snow, which was the key asset of their print, outdoor & digital campaign for Christmas 2018.

Working with Colenso BBDO we created this water colour inspired Piwakawaka journey through Kawarau using painting, 2D & 3D animation techniques.

Working with Switch, we are collaborating on their "Path to Purple" campaign for the Design Institute's annual awards drive.  Working with the signature awards pins as motifs, we will be taking DINZ members on a delightful visual journey throughout 2018. 

Rather than taking a walk outside, we instead messed with our own studio logo and returned with this visual frolic.

North Kiteboarding has asked us to create 3D product visualizations of their 2020 product range.

Working with agency Switch, we created 3D illustrations for Ecoya for print and online. 100% CGl, modelled and rendered in C4D and Redshift.

Working with Big, we created the visual collisions that created the cornerstone of Barfoot & Thompson's fresh new rebrand.

Entirely modeled and animated in C4D, we were charged with bringing a Candy wonderland to life with an army of fun-loving characters.

Seesaw briefed us in to design a title sequence for The New Legends of Monkey with only one hard-set parameter: length.  They wanted it short and sharp - almost like punctuation to hard cut out of the opening gambit and kick off with some momentum into the episode.  

Although short in length, Bunker still wanted to come at it in a way that could neatly encapsulate the spirit and fun of the show.  We focused our early development on the Monkey King's crown before settling on his staff, creating a kinetic movement that culminates in a fire-kissed logo resolve, giving the viewer a taste of the magic and martial arts that await.

Mediaworks came to us to add some sizzle to the launch promo for their biggest show of the year.  So we whipped out the felt pens and got rotoscoping and created this award-winning piece of work.  

Created the sequined key art for Sky City's sellout New Year's show.  Working with our friends at Big, we laid out the 3D sequins one by one and rendered in Redshift for the outdoor and online campaign.  

Working with agency Big, we crafted this 30 second launch video for Barfoot & Thompson's 2017 sponsorship of the World Masters Games in Auckland.  

In addition to the video assets, we created high quality print assets for a comprehensive outdoor campaign.

Approachable & accessible was the brief to create this wide ranging brand video for Orion Health.   A technology company which offers solutions for healthcare, the challenge was to clearly communicating their complex offering without overwhelming viewers.  

Framed by an Interview with architect Greg Noble, we show off a most lovely home indeed.

Bunker were commissioned to develop a title sequence and show packaging for the new season of Holden Golf World. This clip is a brief montage demonstrating some of the elements at work.

Bunker were asked again to create a series of summer idents for Nickelodeon with a quirky Kiwiana theme. This is a quick montage highlighting some of our favourite moments from the campaign.

Bunker recently created a title sequence and on air packaging for the first annual ‘New Zealand Rural Games’.

Bunker was a big supporter and collaborator on the Independent Horror-comedy sensation, Housebound. In addition to doing main title design for the film and motion graphics for the Theatrical Trailer, Bunker also designed the poster for the film winning a MOA at the 2014 New Zealand Film Awards for Best Poster Design. A group of 60 children who were given a chocolate fish and told they could eat it straight away or get two chocolate fish if they waited were filmed.

The idea is based on a series of studies on delayed gratification conducted at Stanford University in the late 1960s (and it was also one of the central themes in the movie The Five Year Engagement, which featured an experiment that left stale donuts on the table but said fresh ones were on their way). But while there’s plenty of concern about the lack of financial literacy among the younger generations, the results seemed to indicate the future looked fairly bright.

Nickelodeon Australia commissioned a series of 40 channel Idents where the brief was to inject Nickelodeon’s world famous characters into distinctly New Zealand scenarios and locations and be funny doing it.

Painstakingly and brilliantly led by Johnny Lyon, this project involved the whole studio and our frequent collaborators: Matt Westbrooke with matchmoving, Pete Williams with the grade & Dave Atai who composed and sound designed every single spot. The scope of work included the storylining, live action shooting, compositing, additional 3D modelling & animation and sound.

At one time or another we’ve all experienced an awkward moment. For many it can be especially awkward around young people living with cancer. Quite often it’s hard to know what to do or say but there’s a way to make those awkward moments into awesome ones.
